Ask the friendly staff about the American Express Travellers Cheques and Foreign Currency service. They can provide you with information on the most appropriate travellers cheques and major foreign currency notes required for your travel destination.

Place your order. Simply provide your name and address details along with your payment. If you order before 12 noon (EST & EDST), your travellers cheques and/or foreign currency will generally be ready for collection at the Gundagai Post Office the next business day.
How to pay for your order
You can pay for your order by cash and/or EFTPOS (Cheques and Savings Accounts only). We will calculate the total purchase amount at the current exchange rate, zero commission fees apply, and upon payment issue you with and Order Confirmation. Your Order Confirmation will advise when your order will be ready for collection.
How to collect your order
As a security precaution, only you the purchaser may collect your order. Simply present your Order Confirmation and photo ID at the Gundagai Post Office after the collection time indicated on your Order Confirmation. You will be handed a sealed envelope containing your order. Check the contents and sign each Cheques immediately in the top left corner to help protect you against loss.
Encashing travellers cheques at Australia Post
You can en cash American Express Travellers Cheques at Australia Post. A fee of $7.70 inc. GST for a maximum of 10 cheques per transaction applies.
If the travellers cheques were purchased at Australia Post, on production of your original Order Confirmation receipt, any unused travellers cheques can be en cashed fee-free at participating outlets. Better still, keep your travellers cheques for your next trip as they never expire!
